WP series reducer is a new-generation of products developed by our factory on the basis of introducing foreign advanced technology,its' main features are as follows:
1.Stable transmission, small vibration, impact and noise, large ratio, wide commonality, can be equiped with various machines.
2.Impact structure, single stage ratio is large, better self locking, can save a brake unit for machinery which has braking request.
3.Higher demand for lubricating and cooling.
4.Connecting methods of input shaft: Basic type ( single input shaft and double input shaft), motor flange type.
5.Combine 2 or 3 sets gearbox to get a multiple stages reducer in order to get greater ratio.
6. Suitable for omnibearing installation, installed in multiple surfaces, hollow output shaft, various input and output types, conjoins with other transmission machinery easily.
Details
1. Greater friction consumption for mesh of worm thread and worm gear surface, so the transmission efficiency is lower than gears. Radiation and high temperature will easily happen.
2. Easy to match, worm and worm gear are made as per national standard, bearing and oil seal all are standard.
3. Box type is divided into basic type ( with horizontal or vertical structure footing plate) and universal type ( box is cuboid, fixed screw hole are set on the multiple faces, structures without footing plate or no adding footing plate etc.)
4. Position and direction of output & input shaft: Input shaft is on the top or at the bottom, output shaft is upward or downward, input shaft upward or downward.
Model selection
1.Input power ( the input power capacity)
2.Ratio: speed of input shaft / speed of otput speed.
When the gearbox was transmitted by belt-pulley, chain wheel or couplings, the input speed shouldn’t exceed 2000 r/min, generally the speed range from 600 rpm to 1800 rpm. If speed is too high, the bearing friction will be heavier and the life time will be shorten.
3.Output torque ( allowable load capacity of gearbox)=Ratio*input torque
4.Efficiency=output speed/input power x 100%
Since there is friction and vibration inside of gearbox during running, so some energy turn into non-working consumption like thermal energy. The efficiency is the utilization factor of gearbox input energy. Different model and ratio gearboxes have different efficiency.
5.Turning direction of input and output shafts
The turning direction depends on worm thread’s direction, dextro thread is used for basic model gearbox. Face to the input&output shaft, the rotating direction of output shaft is clockwise when input shaft rotate clockwise.
6.Working condition co efficiency: Values as shown in our catalogue for your reference.
Strength of Input power capacity and allowable load ability were calculated as per the ideal working condition of continuous 8 hours working and stable loading. While the actual working condition is far away from the ideal condition. Please give a full consideration to the working condition when select a gearbox.

Choice of Lubricant
Before operate the worm gear reducer, please add N220~N320 ( ambient temperature -30℃~40℃), N320~N460 ( ambient temperature 40℃~65℃) lubrication oil up to the center line of the oil gauge. In the meanwhile, remove the small tapered plug from breather. Please clean the inside and inject new lubrication oil after first use the reducer for 100 hours. Afterwards, change the oil every 2500 hours’ operation.
